Thank You

Dear Readers,

We wanted to write a brief letter about how my wife and I came in contact with Mr. Stuart and his organization and how they’ve helped us.

Our first contact with Mr. Stuart and The National Incarcerated Parents and Families Network was through a colleague of his. A man by the name of James Rodriquez who is CEO/President of the Arizona’s Father and Families Coalition Inc. Mr. Stuart, President/founder of his organization got in contact with me and my wife where we explained our situation. Although he deals mostly with incarcerated parents and families he felt like this would be a challenge to him but more so he let us know not to ever give up hope.

I was convicted of a felony offense in which did not commit. I was given a 30 year sentence and spent 17 years in the Texas Penal System. I was subjected to attend classes and was even on a GP S tracking monitor for 4 years. During the months in which my wife and I had been corresponding with Mr. Stuart and his organization they went to great lengths and made many sacrifices in our cause in spite of his busy schedule he always made time to contact us, even if it was just to see how we where doing, While others rejected us stating it was to late and there was no hope, Charles Stuart gave us hope to prove my innocence. He wrote letters on my behalf to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles as well as to the District office in San Antonio, Texas. And recently all his works came to pass. And this is just the beginning.

Charles Stuart is a man of his word and we are looking forward to having him on our side until our situation is resolved. Whatever it takes he is willing to take the extra steps to obtain relief.

Hope, Prayer, determination and patience are the keys to success.

God Bless

I recently received an email from Allison in the United Kingdom who currently has someone dear in prison.  She is a poet and a writer and has sent us one of her poems.  This poem was recently shared at a prisoner's family conference in the United Kingdom. I would like to share this poem with you.

Daddy's Gone

Do you sit down with your son,

and tell him that your Daddy is gone

It's easier explaining the meaning of death

and why people die and draw their last breath.

But Daddy, he's gone to no peaceful heaven,

instead he's in prison serving a seven.

So, how do you sit down and tell your own son,

the why's and reason's his Daddy is gone?

Listen my son, you need to be strong

Daddy has done something terribly wrong.

He's gone into prison for a very long time

and this is what happens when you commit a crime.

Daddy still loves us, he will phone and he'll write,

ring you to wish you and good nite and sleep tight

we can sit down together and write him a letter

it'll make Daddy smile and feel better,

We can go see Daddy perhaps once a week,

to give him a hug and kiss on the cheek.

You can draw daddy pictures and paintings at school,

to put on his wall which will look really cool.

I tried telling my son with emotional tact,

the truth of the matter, you can't hide the fact,

his daddy has gone and is gone for awhile

you can't say it with flowers or manage a smile.

So how do you sit down and talk to your son

and answer his question's why daddy is gone

all you can do is tell him your way.....................

and pray to the lord that he will be home soon one day.
